WHO WHAT RELATION
The Marquis Lover-with-benefits Their relationship started as a booty call but has deepened into one of mutual respect and comfortable friendship. Stildyne trusts the Marquis' read on barge politics implicitly. If he has something approaching romantic feelings for the man, he lays that blame entirely with de Sade-- his fault by virtue of being a thoroughly gratifying, fascinating, comforting person to be around.
Hoffman Embarrassing-best-friend/Surrogate-little-brother In Hoffman Stildyne almost instantly saw a ghost of himself-- someone whose one point of humanity had been rudely severed, who'd lived without tenderness or affection. Having only recently been introduced to the trials and tribulations of being cared for, Stildyne can't resist spreading the misery around. (That's what he tells himself, at least, about his protective feelings toward Mark.) They experimented with a sexual relationship after Stildyne's first mistletoe-Christmas, but Mark had a bit of hetero-panic, and the encounter is now just something they can laugh about.
Agent Kay Not-to-be-trifled-with A consumate professional; Stildyne knows and respects his type. Kay set him straight on the barge's chain of command (or lack thereof) and Stildyne will always be grateful to him for that. Their relationship is currently awkward, given that Stildyne's inmate tortured and murdered Kay's fiancee.
Narvin Paper-pushing-gold-medalist A bureaucrat much like the ones at home, Narvin is largely a known quantity for Stildyne. A source of information duly paid for and an occasional easy target for a lewd joke, their relationship was comfortably utilitarian until Braxiatel tortured Narvin to drive Pandora from his mind. Things are distinctly complicated now.
Irving Braxiatel Bench-specialist/dangerous-inmate Brax intrigued Stildyne before they were paired, being a fascinating and likely useful person to know-- as an inmate, though, he leaves Stildyne uncomfortably aware of the disparity in age and intelligence between the two of them. Stildyne approached wardening him very casually until the Pandora incident-- after which he kept up after Brax like a drill sergeant. With a bug supplied by Agent Kay, he's been listening in on Rhade and Brax's conversations and gaining surprising insight into Brax's actions aboard the barge and in his past.
Gaheris Rhade Hello-there-sailor A decent sparring partner and general decoration on the face of the world. Stildyne is curious about his relationship with Brax, but hadn't pried up until he felt it was a warden's duty to do so (and even then he wasn't after the juicy stuff.) Despite frequent and explicit compliments on Rhade's aesthetic contribution to the universe at large, Stildyne hasn't actually made a pass at him. (He wouldn't kick him out of bed, though.)
The Seventh Doctor Risky-to-know Energetic and intriguing, the Seventh Doctor is one of Stildyne's earliest acquaintances aboard the barge. Their relationship is one of casual association and the occasional lewd joke (if only because the Doctor reacts with such bemusement). There are complications (aren't there always) in that Stildyne finds the Doctor's anger sexually intriguing--which makes him worry about himself-- and that in wardening the Doctor's brother he is privy to some sensitive and upsetting information that Brax has not shared with his sibling.
Rassilon Dangerous-ex-inmate Stildyne's first inmate. It ended badly. Stildyne smarted for a long time over it and still occasionally regrets that it went wrong.
Arkady Reliable-and-powerful Arkday's telepathy and ability to teleport are shockingly useful, in Stildyne's point of view, and he's not surprised she's so chipper. If he was that powerful, he might be as chipper too. She's still a fantastic drinking and gaming companion, and he is utterly devoted to the variety of coffes she introduced to the pub. Like the Marquis and Hoffman, Stildyne considers her one of his people, and he does what he can to help in the rare instances she's in poor spirits.
Dracula Mark's-friend-the-vampire Vampirism is still odd to Stildyne-- he can't get his head around the idea of a species being a contagious condition. He's on amiable terms with Dracula, however, glad that Mark has some support besides him, and has come to like Dracula in his own right. A shared night at the Moulin Rouge in Paris left them on friendly terms. (And if Dracula weren't so devoted to women, Stildyne would probably tap that.)
Poison Ivy Murders-with-plants Notably the cause of Stildyne's second death toll. He knew the plant life had it out for him.
Sarah Connor Get-drunk-and-hit-people-with They got drunk in Paris and engaged in a bar fight. Good times.
Castiel No-U Bothers Stildyne. Deeply. He can't help but feel that Castiel's briefly-encountered host has a very bad deal. And as a usually live-and-let-live areligious type, Stildyne bridles at being told to accept the miraculous.
Valmont Nice-boy-what's-he-doing-here Casual acquaintance, and then Valmont's parasitic demon Shendu took over his body, and the barge. Stildyne is now left in the interesting position of having seen a lot more of Valmont's body than Valmont is aware of. (Lovely shoulders, by the way.) Valmont's implied crimes seem oddly mundane, for the barge.
Prefect Bless-his-capitalist-heart An adorable young man with an unspecified dark past (unspecified to Stildyne, at least). Occasionally reminds Stildyne of his captain, Jennet ap Rhiannon, in his bright-eyed ability to completely look past reality and into a acceptable-to-his-worldview version of the truth.
Chromie A-big-fucking-lizard But otherwise a very decent woman, someone to direct newcomers at.
