33. Bankrupted information broker
Jul. 10th, 2012 02:38 pmNearly a year ago now, and under a good quantity of very pleasant drugs as I was coming out of my first death toll, I gave what I felt was a reasonable analysis of the gossip to be found aboard the barge. It wasn't; the aforementioned very pleasant drugs.
None of which matters much except that the gossip aboard has been almost unadulteratedly hostile or miserable. I'm pleased about the recent rash of graduations, don't mistake me, but those aren't generally much of a secret.
I've heard one tolerably scandalous piece of news recently and even that was causing misery to the soul involved.
Hasn't anyone got something salacious, some fabricated piece of fluff, a dirty joke. Some little undercurrent of something that won't cause anyone any more grief?
Come on, now.
